#SouthAsianHeritageMonth22: TLP's British South Asian book recommendations

It's South Asian Heritage Month in the UK. This year's theme is Journeys of Empire. 2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the independence of India, Partition, and the creation of Pakistan and Bangladesh. It also marks the 50th anniversary of the expulsion of Ugandan Asians by Idi Amin.

This #SouthAsianHeritageMonth, we bring to you our book recommendations on British South Asian authors, from the relatable charm of Anita Rani to the poignant reflections of Mohsin Hamid.

When we read stories from the subcontinent, we understand the legacy of the events that shaped South Asia and the diaspora who came to the UK. We learn from the voices of the generations above us and also create a new space for the South Asian youth of today.
