The Lipstick Politico ( now evolving into PinkSalt) is a global South Asian media and culture platform committed to telling bold, inclusive, and transformative stories. Through our editorial, events, and upcoming products, we create conversations that push boundaries and connect communities worldwide.
The Role
We’re looking for a plugged-in, high-energy intern to help us launch Rooh, a new South Asian dating & intimacy platform, through activations with The Lipstick Politico (TLP). You’ll be at the ground level of building culture, community, and buzz in NYC.
Profile:

NYC-based, South Asian, deeply connected to desi grad/social scenes.

Naturally social — you live on Instagram/TikTok, and know how to make content move.

Network activator: from South Asian societies and frats/sororities to WhatsApp groups, you know where the buzz starts.

Comfortable navigating nightlife, mixers, and micro-events.

Role & Responsibilities:

Spread and amplify the Rooh Survey through your networks.

Manage the waitlist energy and keep our early community hyped.

Help design and host first NYC-based micro-events with TLP × Rooh.

Ideate playful, culture-forward ways to engage our early adopters (both online and offline).

Capture social media moments and vibes from activations.
Internship Details
- Duration: 3–6 months
- Paid internship
- Remote (with flexibility on hours)
